Note: Customers may approach the RBI Ombudsman in accordance with the eligibility and other conditions prescribed under the RBI Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.

Scheme Name:

Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021

Purpose:

To provide customers with a simple, cost-free mechanism for redressal of complaints relating to deficiency in service.

Applicable to:

Eligible entities regulated by the Reserve Bank of India, including Regional Rural Banks covered under the Scheme.

Approach the Bank

Customers should first lodge their complaint with Meghalaya Rural Bank through the Bank's grievance redressal mechanism.

Wait for Resolution

If the complaint is not resolved satisfactorily, or the customer does not receive a response within the prescribed period, the customer may approach the RBI Ombudsman, subject to the Scheme's eligibility conditions.

Approach RBI

Submit the complaint through the RBI Complaint Management System (CMS).

Lodge Complaint with RBI CMS
RBI's current scheme states that complaints may be lodged online through CMS and also through electronic or physical mode with the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre.
